Matching Gifts to CJF - Double Your Impact!

Did you know that many companies have matching gift programs that will match your donation to the Charleston Jewish Federation? Hundreds of companies—large and small—have programs like this. Some companies will even match gifts made by retirees and spouses of employees.  


Does your company match gifts?

 

Check out this list of companies that offer matching gift programs. This is not a complete list so if your company is not included, check with your HR department. 


If you company offers a matching gift, follow these easy steps to double the impact of your donation: 

1. Ask HR for a copy of the Matching Gift Form and complete your portion.

2. Submit the form to us: 

  • By e-mail: rebeccal@jewishcharleston.org

  • By postal mail: Charleston Jewish Federation, 176 Croghan Spur Road, Suite 100, Charleston, SC 29407

3. Make your donation, and see it double!

In addition to making a greater impact for our community, your matching gift donation includes other benefits:

 

For employees: Your gift will make a greater impact and you will be acknowledged at the recognition level that includes your employer’s match. For example, if you make a donation of $500 to CJF and your employer’s matching gift brings the total contribution to $1,000, you will be recognized at the $1,000 level. 

 

For employers: Donations received from employers through matching gift programs are often tax-deductible. Studies have shown that corporate giving programs “can be instrumental in attracting and retaining employees, as they foster goodwill and increase employee engagement.”
