Charleston Jewish Federation - Funds in the Jewish Endowment Foundation

Learn about the funds below which benefit the Charleston Jewish Federation. A contribution will grow the principal of the fund at the Jewish Endowment Foundation, and will help sustain the Charleston Jewish Federation for future generations.

 

Charleston Jewish Federation Good Deeds Endowment – This endowment makes it possible to help community members when they have an unexpected need.

 

Jerry and Anita Zucker Endowment for the Charleston Jewish Federation – This endowment fund, created by Jerry (OBM) and Anita Zucker, ensures that the Charleston Jewish Federation can continue to carry out the important work it does on behalf of the Jewish community, locally, in Israel and around the world.

 
Marilyn Hoffman Charleston Jewish Federation Endowment – This fund, named in honor of community leader Marilyn Hoffman, is a perpetual source of support for the mission of the Federation to build and sustain Jewish life in Charleston, Israel, and around the world.

 
Max Kirshstein Community Youth Endowment – The Kirshstein family created this endowment to honor their father Max Kirshstein (OBM). Each year, the Max Kirshstein Community Youth Endowment Award recognizes a local Jewish teenager for outstanding community service with a $1,000 scholarship. 
 
Morris Kalinsky Jewish Federation Campaign Continuity Fund​ – This endowment ensures there is funding available to help raise the critical community campaign dollars that provide our Jewish community with the ability to grow, thrive, and adapt. 
 
REMEMBER Program for Holocaust & Genocide Awareness Endowment – This fund supports the work of the REMEMBER Program, which brings enriching and meaningful Holocaust programming and educational resources to the greater Charleston community.

 

Renee F. Kolender Holocaust Memorial Fund – This fund contributes to the upkeep and ongoing maintenance of the Charleston Holocaust Memorial in Marion Square.
 
Sandra and Howard Peskin Endowment for CJF – This fund supports the work of the Charleston Jewish Federation. 
 
Shirley & Michael Mills Endowment for Holocaust Remembrance – This fund benefits the activities of the Charleston Jewish Federation REMEMBER Program to honor the legacy of Moishe and Rachel, Shirley’s parents, and Holocaust survivors.
