Charleston Jewish Family Services

Charleston Jewish Family Services (CJFS) is an affiliate of the Charleston Jewish Federation. Our mission is to provide financial and emotional support and assistance to those in need of help in our community. CJFS is guided by the fundamental Jewish values of tzedakah (charity) and tikkun olam (repair of the world).

As a member of the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies, Charleston Jewish Family Services provides vital services to clients of all ages, faiths, and economic backgrounds. NJHSA is a membership association of service agencies throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Charleston Jewish Family Services (CJFS) offers holistic services and resources for clients, including counseling and case management, emergency food through the Kosher Food Pantry, and senior support through our Senior Outreach Initiative.

  • Senior Outreach Initiative

CJFS offers services and resource referrals through the Senior Outreach Initiative for older adults in greater Charleston, including our local Holocaust survivors. CJFS seeks to maintain the independence and dignity of senior adults, while keeping them connected to Jewish traditions and community.

  • Mental Health Counseling

CJFS offers an array of mental health services to adults, adolescents, and families in the local community. These services address issues such as depression, anxiety or adjustment disorders, relationship issues, stress management, vocational issues, and more.

  • Volunteer With Us

Volunteers are an essential part of CJFS! From gleaning the fields for fresh produce at Rosebank Farms for hungry people in need, to visiting elderly Holocaust survivors, to helping us in our office, there is something for everyone.
