Remembering Rabbi Robert A. Seigel, SC's First Native-Born Rabbi

"It is with great sadness that we inform you that Rabbi Robert Alan Seigel has departed this life. He was courageous and strong until the end. He will be remembered by all those that knew and loved him, and the hundreds of people throughout his life that were touched by his wisdom, kindness and compassion.

Because Rabbi Seigel enjoyed his Thursday morning docenting at the Temple and was a lifelong member of his beloved Temple, a named fund has been established by his wife, Faye, to honor his memory. All contributions can be made to the Rabbi Robert A. Seigel Sanctuary Restoration Fund. Contributions can be sent to KKBE, 90 Hasell Street, Charleston, SC, 29401.

May God console his family among all who mourn in Zion and Jerusalem." - Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim

From Rabbi Seigel's wife, Faye:

"IT IS WITH IMMENSE GRATITUDE THAT I THANK YOU  FOR THE OUTPOURING OF LOVE AND SUPPORT YOU GAVE TO BOB, ME AND OUR FAMILY DURING OUR DARKEST DAYS.  YOUR CARDS, MESSAGES, ALL THE MEALS BEFORE AND AFTER NOURISHED OUR BODIES AND SOULS. SHIVAH VISITS AND FOOD, CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE KKBE SANCTUARY RESTORATION FUND AND OTHERS MADE IN HIS MEMORY...ALL THESE GIFTS AND MORE WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART.  YOU HAVE GIVEN ME THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL BY HONORING AND PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF MY BELOVED HUSBAND, RABBI ROBERT A. SEIGEL.

WARMLY,

FAYE
