New Jewish Genealogy Group in South Carolina!

My name is Jeff Alexander and I am looking to start up a new South Carolina genealogy group to bring together like-minded researchers who are interested in understanding their Jewish ancestry. Our group would become a member society of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS).

There are currently no societies in South Carolina. I already have a list of researchers that have expressed interest in becoming part of such a group and am now looking to expand that list to gauge interest. We have also discussed the possibility of having meetings in rotating cities in South Carolina to hopefully serve more researchers. I know South
Carolina has vital Jewish communities and we’d like to see if we can help to start a new local chapter.

Whether you are new to genealogy and looking to learn more, or you have lots of experience but never belonged to an IAGS group, we would welcome your participation.

Please contact me with any questions you have or to express your interest in joining our group.

Sincerely,
Jeff Alexander
