Remembering the Ninth of November

Christoph Sander, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany

November 9, 1989 was the momentous day in recent German history– the Berlin Wall fell, the Cold War ended, and Germany was to be reunited within one year. It is also the date of Reichskristallnacht, foreshadowing the Shoah.  Consul General Sander will address the shortcomings and horrors of Germany’s past, before commenting on the 25 years since the fall of the Wall.
