JELF Loans Available Beginning March 1

NEED MONEY FOR SCHOOL FOR THE 2019-20 ACADEMIC YEAR?
APPLY FOR AN INTEREST-
FREE LOAN FOR HIGHER EDUCATION BEGINNING MARCH 1!

Applications for JELF’s interest-free loans for higher education (college, graduate school and vocational programs) are available to Jewish students in the Charleston area for the 2019-2020 school year, in partnership with Charleston Jewish Family Services.

JELF (Jewish Educational Loan Fund) grants need-based, “last dollar” financing, meaning that JELF provides the final dollars that bridge the gap between a student’s total financial resources and the cost of attending school. To qualify, applicants must be:

 Enrolled full time in a program leading to a degree or certificate at a U.S. accredited institution,
 A U.S. citizen or have lawful immigration status, and
 Able to demonstrate financial need (2019 FAFSA application required).

In 2018, JELF granted $1,011,266 in interest-free last-dollar loans to 279 students across its five-state region. JELF is proud to serve students in the Charleston Jewish community.
