CJFS Receives Donation from Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation

Charleston, SC – Charleston Jewish Family Services has received [$1,725 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation just in time to help feed local residents. Charleston Jewish Family Services will use the gift to distribute groceries to food insecure families and seniors throughout the Lowcountry.

“We are incredibly grateful to have the ongoing support from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation.  Because of their partnership, we can reach the families who need it most and provide nutritious food,” Sara Chesley, the Director of Charleston Jewish Family Services.

Charleston Jewish Family Services looks forward to providing fresh produce in local food deserts, filling Blessing Boxes in underserved neighborhoods, and maintaining an onsite food pantry to help families in need. The mission of Charleston Jewish Family Services (CJFS) is to empower individuals, strengthen families, protect the vulnerable and help seniors age with dignity. Our work is based on Jewish values to improve quality of life regardless of race, religion, ethnic background or sexual orientation.
