Criticizing your Government

Drawing on the December 17, 2014 92^nd St Y discussion on whether artists can be silent in the face of social injustice, featuring, David Grossman, we will discuss the question of Grossman’s critique of the Israeli government and our own obligation to step up and speak out on injustice. Claire Curtis (adult education task force member and political science professor), will facilitate the conversation.  Participants might wish to read Grossman’s To the End of the Land (Knopf, 2010) or Falling out of Time (Knopf, 2014), as the 92^nd St Y comes available a showing will be arranged prior to the discussion.
