He will discuss his challenging and rewarding journey, which has taken him and his family to smaller Orthodox communities. Rabbi Michael Davies is Congregation Dor Tikvah’s first Rabbi. Prior to coming to Charleston, Rabbi Davies served as the Assistant, then Associate Rabbi of Beth Jacob Congregation in Oakland, California, a position he held for five years. Rabbi Davies grew up in northern New Jersey, received his BA from Yeshiva University, and completed his studies for ordination at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary.
