Judaism famously includes both humanist values - that all humans are made in God's image, for example - as well as particularist claims, that Jews constitute the "chosen people" or "God's children."
This semester Rabbi Stephanie Alexander (Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim), Rabbi Sholom Mimran (Congregation Dor Tikvah), and Rabbi Evan Ravsky (Synagogue Emanu-El) will discuss how their denominations balance these values in the 21st century.
