Synagogue Emanu-El Tikkun Olam MLK Morning of Service

9:30AM - 12:00PM

Celebrate Tu B'Shevat as we also honor our Senior Citizens and Mother Earth:
We will pot plants for the 56 residents of Sherman House. Separately, a group will go to Sherman house to plant flowers on the grounds. Sign up for either group.

Backpack Buddy Project:
During weekends and holidays, many children go home to little or no meals. We will assemble 170 backpacks filled with nutritious foods. Our January request will be the very specific items needed to fill the backpacks, click here for a list.
You can also donate grocery store gift cards or donate to the Tikkun Olam fund here. Please deliver all contributions by Jan. 12.

Assembling letters, cards, cookies and blankets for soldiers:
May no soldier go unloved. Our appreciation means so much to the soldiers that keep us safe. We will create and send letters, cards, cookies, and blankets to cheer those individuals who serve, risking their lives and defending our country.

Dedicate our New Blessing Box:
A blessing box is a small structure stocked with nonperishable items -- those in need just take what they want. Our box is ready to install. It was constructed by Mike Mills, and it is beautiful. We will dedicate it together.
