If you enjoy looking for stars in the sky, inhaling the sweet fragrance of spices, and like to watch flames dance, then do we have a program for you! Join CJF's PJ Library, Jewish Scouts, Synagogue Emanu El and Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim as we celebrate Havdalah, a beautiful ritual, and welcome the new week together, while wearing our favorite pajamas.
Havdalah, or “separation” in Hebrew, is Shabbat’s closing ritual when three stars appear on Saturday evening. In a simple multi-sensory ceremony with blessings over lights, wine or grape juice, and spices, Havdalah is an inspiring way to end Shabbat and start the new week as a family.
