Israel-born architect Moshe Safdie has designed striking cultural, civic, and educational buildings around the world. Safdie's exceptional structures include the expansion of Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Israel, the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, Kansas City's Kaufman Center for the Performing Arts, and the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. Among his current projects is the National Medal of Honor Museum, designed for Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant. Presented in partnership with the National Medal of Honor Museum and The Jewish Federation of Charleston, Safdie will speak about his goal to create meaningful, vital, and inclusive social spaces that enrich the communities in which they are situated.
