We are all familiar with the signature Seder, the Passover Seder, the Jewish ritual observed by the largest percentage of the Jewish community around the world. Yet the ritual of a Seder – the word means “order” – has come to denote any ritualized meal in which a narrative is told, foods symbolize deeper meanings, and community gathers. There are Tu B’shvat Seders, a Sephardic Rosh Hashanah Seder, Sukkot Seders, and so many more. Come join us as we travel both the Jewish calendar and the globe, sampling some of the creative Seder rituals that have evolved throughout Jewish history.
