With Naama Fox
As the United States copes with immigration flows and increasing diversity in these uncertain times, it might want to look to Israel for some fresh ideas about taking full advantage of diversity. As of 2019, Arab citizens of Israel comprised 21 percent of the country’s total population. About 82.6 percent of the Arab population in Israel are Sunni Muslims (with a very small minority Shia), another 9 percent is Druze and around 9 percent of the population are Christians (mostly Eastern Orthodox and Catholic denominations).
Diversity in Israeli society is a very broad subject that includes many details. Naama Fux, our Community Shlicha from Israel, will discuss the variety of different cultures in Israel, how it relates to her own story and how it affects the reality of Israeli society.
