With guest speakers ‘The SorryWatchers’, Susan McCarthy and Marjorie Ingall. We will LEARN what makes a good apology, and how to accept one, just in time for Yom Kippur. The SorryWatchers have been analyzing apologies in the news, pop culture, literature, and politics at SorryWatch.com since 2012. Their as-yet untitled book about apology is forthcoming from Gallery Books/Simon & Schuster in Fall, 2022. The duo started SorryWatch because they care deeply about good apologies and see room for collective improvement. Amusing, passionate, and well-versed in the latest academic research, the SorryWatchers have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, New York magazine, Buzzfeed, USA Today, Psychology Today, Time, NPR, the CBC, and Qantas Airways in-flight magazine. Their (not) patented six-step approach to a good apology is designed to help make the world a better place.
