Join us for KKBE’s annual Mitzvah Day—a meaningful opportunity to “put our values into action” and make a tangible impact in our community. Rooted in the Jewish call to repair the world, this day brings together congregants of all ages to give back through hands-on service projects.

This year, participants will help package meals through Meals of Hope, which will be distributed locally through the Lowcountry Food Bank—supporting neighbors across the Lowcountry facing food insecurity. In addition, we are proud to deepen our impact by partnering with the Charleston Area Justice Ministry (CAJM). As a founding institutional member, KKBE is part of CAJM’s community-wide efforts to address systemic issues, and this year they are focusing on food insecurity as one of their major initiatives—making our work on Mitzvah Day even more meaningful.

Mitzvah Day 2026 is generously funded by KKBE Sisterhood, with lunch provided for volunteers by KKBE's Brotherhood. Whether you’re coming as an individual or with family and friends, your participation will help turn compassion into action and make a real difference in our community.
