A Guide to Humor and the Holocaust

Can we laugh at the Holocaust? What about the Holocaust is funny? Is Holocaust humor a part of the tradition of Jewish comedy? In this session, led by David Slucki (Jewish Studies, College of Charleston), we'll look at some examples in which comedians have lampooned aspects of the Holocaust and Holocaust remembrance, and discuss the ethics of Holocaust humor.
